{"id":943,"date":"2026-04-04T13:51:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T17:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bhn.gouv.ht\/product\/nh-ns-05-0612002\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T13:51:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T17:51:15","slug":"nh-ns-05-0612002","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/bhn.gouv.ht\/en\/product\/nh-ns-05-0612002\/","title":{"rendered":"NH NS 05-061:2002"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document is made up of 4 chapters and 3 appendices:<br \/>\nChapter 1: General provisions<br \/>\n\uf0fc Any discharge of liquid effluent that causes stagnation, inconveniences the<br \/>\nneighbourhood, or pollutes surface, ground or marine water is prohibited throughout the country, at<br \/>\n. Chapter 2: Provisions applicable to effluent discharges into a receiving environment<br \/>\n\uf0fc Effluent discharges into wastewater treatment facilities, except in the case of the<br \/>\ncombined sewer system, must comply with the following criteria: &#8211; rainwater must be discharged separately from other<br \/>\nwastewater. &#8211; effluent must comply with the criteria defining stormwater and wastewater<br \/>\nas well as discharge limit values (chapter 4). Chapter 3: Provisions concerning monitoring and control<br \/>\n\uf0fc Samples and analyses of receiving environments and effluents are carried out<br \/>\nby competent technicians from the Ministry of the Environment or by any other<br \/>\nlaboratory qualified for this purpose by the said Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>2<\/p>\n<p>\uf0fc Technicians or any other persons or entities designated by the Ministry of<br \/>\nl&#8217;Environnement et des Etablissements Class\u00e9s are responsible for resolving, in collaboration<br \/>\nwith local administrative authorities, the various problems posed by<br \/>\nalteration or pollution of surface, underground or marine waters. \uf0fc The nature and minimum frequency of measurements are defined. Lower thresholds may<br \/>\nbe set by the relevant department of the Ministry of the Environment, where justified by the<br \/>\nsensitivity of the receiving environment. At the very least, each discharge must be sampled and analyzed twice a year at<br \/>\n. Unannounced sampling will be<br \/>\ncarried out in the middle of an activity, resulting in rejection. \uf0fc Receiving environments under special protection are subject to more regular monitoring and<br \/>\nwater control, with a view to protecting them.
